MV teams up with Experience Research Lab to activate the historic Bellingham National Bank with an immersive installation in collaboration with Geheim Gallery. Enjoy hi-fi listening sessions within a real bank vault throughout the evening.

Maiden Voyage x Wax Thematique
Maiden Voyage Meets Wax Thématique for this one of a kind communal listening experience on Sunday, July 28, on top of the Olympic Rooftop Pavilion at Stoneburner.
Curator and guest host Nathan Womack shares some of his favorite records from the Wax Thématique Label Catalog. Vinyl Selectors for the evening: Rizoma (Global Groove) and Sean Wolcott (Soundview Analog). Food and drink available from Stoneburner.
Wax Thématique digs deep for obscure artists making life-enhancing music. Established in Seattle, WA in 2014 by music producer and intrepid crate-digger Nathan Womack, the label which has released records by Seattle luminaries such as Noel Brass Jr., Select Level, Funkways, Rezin Tooth, and Gel-Sol—has expanded its reach to Great Britain (Grandbaby), Germany (Feed LA), and Israel (the Flavors, VuVuVu). Womack's ambition and impeccable aesthetics have made his label a trusted source of heady groove science.
Maiden Voyage x Robert Hutchison
Maiden Voyage is closing out the latest exhibition at Mini Mart City Park featuring new work from Robert Hutchison with a listening session celebrating Japanese musician and composer Hiroshi Yoshimura.
Yoshimura is considered a pioneer of ambient music in Japan. His music lies mostly in the minimalist genre of kankyō ongaku, or environment music. We will be listening to three of his albums in full:

Mini Mart City Park is a hub for the arts, education, environmental action, and community collaboration in the Duwamish Valley. They have transformed a former gas station into a pocket park and cultural center in Georgetown across the street from Boeing Field on Ellis Avenue South. MMCP is rooted in the belief that it is vital to create community hubs for people to build power and a voice in decisions being made to develop their neighborhoods.

The Shop’s address is 1201 2nd Avenue, Suite #100 , however the physical entrance is on the east side of 1st Avenue, between Seneca and University. There will be someone stationed at the south entrance of The Shop to check you in and badge you into the elevator up to the rooftop.

Pete Jolly 'Seasons' Listening Party
Maiden Voyage and Light in the Attic Records are proud to present a special evening celebrating LITA’s newest release: Pete Jolly’s Seasons.
Organic, electric, freeform. Pete Jolly’s Seasons is comprised of melodies and textures composed live and without pretense. Long known by true heads as a god-tier nuanced close listening experience alongside the likes of Gabor Szabo’s Dreams and Dorothy Ashby’s Afro Harping. With this reissue, Seasons ascends to its rightful place in the pantheon of previously forgotten grails.
The evening will include a critical listen of the album, along with a Q&A with music writer Dave Segal, who wrote the liner notes for the 'Seasons' reissue.
Event is 21+ with doors at 7pm.

SAM Remix
Seattle’s biggest late-night 21+ artistic experience of the year returns Friday, March 29 at the Seattle Art Museum and we’re excited to be a part of it.
Join the best and brightest of Seattle’s creative community at SAM Remix in the heart of downtown Seattle for an evening of one-of-a-kind art experiences. Revelers will encounter innovative performances, art-making activities, live music, guided gallery tours, and so much more.
Maiden Voyage is programming a deep listening session inspired by artworks on view in American Art: The Stories We Carry.

We will draw inspiration from Krick's 'Promise You'll Make Me Up' a collection of photography and collage inspired by found photos of Marilyn Monroe. Join us as we dig deep into our vinyl library for a unique evening of music and art.

Natalie Krick is a Seattle based artist whose work investigates visual perception and pleasure through complicating the act of looking. She holds a BFA from the School of Visual Arts and an MFA from Columbia College Chicago. In 2015 Krick was a recipient of an Individual Photographer's Fellowship from the Aaron Siskind Foundation for her project Natural Deceptions. In 2017 Natural Deceptions was published by Skylark Editions and Krick was awarded the Aperture Portfolio Prize. Krick’s work has recently been exhibited at SF Camerawork, The Museum of Contemporary Photography, Aperture Foundation, The Museum of Sex, and Blue Sky Gallery. Her photographs has been highlighted in several international publications including BOMB, The New Yorker, Vogue Italia, PDN, Aperture, and Vrij Nederland.

Lovers Rock with Kid Hops
Join us as Maiden Voyage celebrates our one-year anniversary and Valentine’s Day with a special listening session.
Our guest host, Kid Hops (Positive Vibrations, KEXP 90.3FM), presents a Lover’s Rock selection, including cornerstone artists Carroll Thompson, Louisa Mark, and more. He will guide us through the history and classic cuts that make up the romantic sound of this unique UK genre.
Our friends Cantina Sauvage will be on hand to pour wine and will have bottles available for purchase. Other beverages and light snacks courtesy of The Grocery.
Doors will open at 6:00pm and music will start promptly at 7:00pm. At that time we ask all attendees to keep conversations hushed so everyone can focus on the music and enjoy the evening.

Digable Planets’ Reachin’ Listening Session with Larry Mizell Jr.
Join us as Maiden Voyage celebrates the 30th anniversary of Digable Planet’s debut Reachin' (A New Refutation of Time and Space). Released in 1993, Reachin’ holds a special place in our personal histories and we’re excited to present a program honoring this hip-hop classic.
Larry Mizell Jr., host of The Afternoon Show on KEXP, will be our special guest for the event. Larry wrote liner notes for both the Reachin’ and Blowout Comb vinyl reissues by Light In The Attic. He’ll provide a deep dive into the album and share his thoughts on it’s impact today.
This intimate event will be held at The Lemon Grove, a vintage collective located in Seattle's historic Pioneer Square. Doors will open at 7:00pm and music will start promptly at 7:30pm. At that time we ask all attendees to keep their table conversations hushed so everyone can enjoy the evening.

Earshot Jazz Listening Session with Ted Poor
Maiden Voyage is honored to join Earshot Jazz Festival in presenting two special listening sessions.
Festival performer and Impulse Records artist Ted Poor will be our special guest selector on November 4 and share some of his favorite records.
Drummer Ted Poor is a bandleader, composer, and educator based in Seattle. Poor has collaborated with Andrew Bird, Blake Mills, Bill Frisell, Myra Melford, and Andrew D’Angelo among others. His most recent recording You Already Know (Impulse/New Deal Records) presents his propulsive, imaginative music which will inform his selections for the night’s program.

Earshot Jazz Listening Session with Noel Brass Jr.
Maiden Voyage is honored to join Earshot Jazz Festival in presenting two special listening sessions.
Earshot alum and keyboard wizard Noel Brass Jr. will be our special guest selector on October 21 and share some of his favorite records.
Noel is a Seattle-based composer, keyboardist, educator, and founding member of the local psychedelic trio Afrocop. His music explores a captivating intersection between spacey ambience, cosmic jazz, sci-fi soundtracks which will be reflected in his choices for the night’s program.
As a special bonus, Hawthorne Stereo provide specially curated amps and speakers for us to enjoy. The friendly experts from Hawthorne will be on hand to to chat about hi-fi gear and their legendary Seattle shop.
